Dog Walker in Five Oak Green, Kent

Country living, safe off-lead time

Five Oak Green is a great place to have a dog, until you try to let them off. There are no pavements on the B2017, there’s farm traffic, there’s livestock over most of the hedges, and plenty of pheasants for a dog with selective hearing to chase.

That’s why every session I run takes place in my own private field, which is fully enclosed and booked out to me Monday to Friday. Your dog isn’t walked along the lanes, across farmland or on public footpaths. The only walking is from your front door to the van.

Inside the fence your dog can run flat out and practise recall without you worrying about a tractor or a field of sheep round the next corner. Groups are small, and I put dogs together by temperament, not just by who’s booked that day.

Collection and drop-off in Five Oak Green

I collect from anywhere in the village and the surrounding TN12 lanes, including the houses and farms out towards Capel. From Five Oak Green the field is about 5 minutes away.

Dogs travel in a secure, ventilated van with fitted cages and non-slip mats. If your house is down a long drive or a farm track, just tell me at the meet-and-greet and we’ll agree where I pull in.

You don’t need to be home. A key safe, a door code or a key left with me all work, and keys are kept securely, marked only with your dog’s name. Your dog comes home the same session, and I’ll send you a photo or message afterwards.

Tudeley too

Tudeley sits on the same road between Five Oak Green and Tonbridge, so I collect there as part of the same round. Owners in Tudeley get exactly the same service: door collection, a session at the field and drop-off, at the same price with no extra charge.

Great service! Would recommend Darren to anyone looking for dog walking service

Liz Harwood-Bridgen

Darren is friendly, professional and amazing with our boisterous cockapoo. He’s always on time and keeps us updated on any changes. I’m able to work knowing that our dog is happy and well looked after in his care.

Yemisi

Professional. Responsible. Flexible. Always has a smile. Obviously loves the happiness that he brings to the dogs when they are collected, taken to a large field and encouraged to socialise with other dogs that have also been vetted in and amongst all manner of dog toys and paddling pools. First Class.

Dominic

Darren’s love for dogs is plain to see. Our dog Mylo was nervous in the beginning, but now it’s non stop tail wagging. Darren provides a great and professional service, keeps you updated with photos which is a nice touch. I would recommend him, and your dog will thank you

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover Five Oak Green and Tudeley, and does it cost more?

Yes to both villages, and no, it doesn’t cost more. Collection and drop-off are included in the session price, with no surcharge for living outside Tonbridge.

That’s exactly who it’s for. The field is fully fenced, so dogs that bolt after rabbits or birds, or ignore recall near livestock, can have a proper run without any risk. I’ll get to know your dog at the meet-and-greet before they join a group.

Only at my private enclosed field near Tonbridge. Dogs aren’t walked on the lanes, across farmland, on public footpaths or in parks.

Sessions run all year. Muddy dogs get dried off before they go home, so it helps to leave a towel by the door. In hot weather I move collection earlier or later. If the lanes are flooded, icy or snowed in and it isn’t safe to drive, I’ll cancel and let you know as early as I can.

Yes. I’m fully insured, DBS checked and registered with HMRC. The van has business insurance and fitted cages, and I carry a canine first aid kit. In an emergency I contact you straight away and use your registered vet, or the nearest practice if it can’t wait.
