Dog Walker in Bidborough, Kent

Off-lead time somewhere fully fenced

Bidborough’s woods and ridge footpaths are lovely, but they’re also full of deer, squirrels and other people’s dogs, and the roads either side are busy. That’s no good for a dog with patchy recall. So I don’t walk dogs round the village. Every session happens in my own private field, which is fully enclosed and booked out to me Monday to Friday.

The only walking your dog does in Bidborough is from your front door to the van. At the field they’ve got space to run, sniff and play in a small group I’ve picked by temperament, with nothing to chase out of reach and no road to bolt onto.

Collection and drop-off in Bidborough

I collect from anywhere in the village up to Grange. That takes in the village centre, around the church and the school, and the roads off the ridge. If you’re not sure whether you’re inside that line, give me a call and I’ll tell you.

From Bidborough the field is about 15 minutes away. Dogs travel in a secure, ventilated van with fitted cages and non-slip mats.

You don’t need to be in. Most Bidborough clients use a key safe or door code, or leave a key with me. Keys are kept securely, labelled only with your dog’s name. Your dog is back home the same session, and I’ll send you a photo or message to let you know how it went.

Fits around the commute and the school run

Plenty of Bidborough households are out early for the train from Tonbridge or High Brooms, or juggling the school run. A midday session at the field breaks up a long day home alone, and it’s sorted without you having to rush back. Book the same days every week, or book ad hoc sessions when work gets busy.

Great service! Would recommend Darren to anyone looking for dog walking service

Liz Harwood-Bridgen

Darren is friendly, professional and amazing with our boisterous cockapoo. He’s always on time and keeps us updated on any changes. I’m able to work knowing that our dog is happy and well looked after in his care.

Yemisi

Professional. Responsible. Flexible. Always has a smile. Obviously loves the happiness that he brings to the dogs when they are collected, taken to a large field and encouraged to socialise with other dogs that have also been vetted in and amongst all manner of dog toys and paddling pools. First Class.

Dominic

Darren’s love for dogs is plain to see. Our dog Mylo was nervous in the beginning, but now it’s non stop tail wagging. Darren provides a great and professional service, keeps you updated with photos which is a nice touch. I would recommend him, and your dog will thank you

Frequently asked questions

Which parts of Bidborough do you cover?

The whole village up to Grange. Collection and drop-off are included in the price, with no surcharge for being outside Tonbridge. If you’re near the edge, just ask.

No. All my sessions happen at my private enclosed field near Tonbridge. Dogs aren’t walked on roads, public footpaths, in woodland or in parks, so there’s nothing to chase out of reach and no road to run onto.

Often, yes. Groups are small and I match dogs by temperament. I’ll meet your dog at home first, and we can build up slowly from there.

The field is used all year, so sessions go ahead in the rain. Dogs are towelled off before they go home. In a heatwave I move sessions to cooler times of day, and if snow or ice makes the roads unsafe I’ll cancel and let you know early.

Yes. I’m fully insured, DBS checked and registered with HMRC. The van is insured for business use, and I carry a canine first aid kit. If anything happens, I’ll ring you straight away and take your dog to your own vet, or the nearest practice if it’s urgent.
