Dog Walker in Pembury, Kent
Where the walks happen: my private secure field
Every group session takes place in my own private field, which is fully enclosed and booked out to me Monday to Friday. Your dog is never walked along Pembury’s roads or pavements, or through a park. The only walking is from your front door to the van.
From Pembury the field is about 10 minutes away, just the other side of Tonbridge, and the A21 makes it a quick and predictable run.
Inside the fence there’s no traffic, no loose dogs, no cyclists and no livestock. That matters most for rescues still settling in, dogs with unreliable recall, and dogs who tense up when something comes the other way. In there they can run flat out, practise recall properly and choose who they play with.
Groups stay small, and I put dogs together by temperament, not just by who’s booked that day.
Collection and drop-off in Pembury
I collect from anywhere in Pembury and the TN2 side of the village. That covers the High Street and Lower Green, out along Hastings Road and Henwood Green Road, and the newer estates.
Pembury is a slightly longer run for me than my Tonbridge pickups, so I do it as one dedicated round instead of fitting dogs in one at a time. Nobody gets collected early and then sits in the van while I drive back and forth. Dogs travel in a secure, ventilated van with fitted cages and non-slip mats.
You don’t need to be home. A key safe, a door code or a key left with me all work, and keys are stored securely, marked only with your dog’s name. Your dog is home the same session, and I’ll send you a photo or message afterwards.
Long days and shift work
A lot of my Pembury owners work long or irregular hours. Some are on shifts at the hospital, and others commute into Tunbridge Wells or up the A21. A midday session at the field breaks up the day for a dog who’d otherwise be home alone. You don’t need to be there at either end, and I offer ad hoc sessions as well as regular days, so a changing rota isn’t a problem.

Frequently asked questions
Do you collect from Pembury, and is there an extra charge?
Yes. Collection and drop-off anywhere in Pembury are included in the session price. There’s no surcharge for the extra distance. Most clients leave a key safe or door code so I can collect while they’re at work or on shift.
How long is my dog away from home?
Pembury runs as a single round, so your dog isn’t left waiting in the van while I collect from other areas. Door to door, a session is usually around 4-5, including travel and time at the field.
Where exactly do the walks take place?
All group sessions happen at my own private, fully enclosed field near Tonbridge. Dogs are never walked on village roads, pavements, public footpaths or in parks. Groups are small and chosen by temperament.
What happens in bad weather?
Sessions still run, because the field is used all year round. Dogs are dried off before they go home, so leaving a towel out helps. In extreme heat I move collection times earlier or later. If snow or ice makes the A21 run unsafe, I cancel the session and tell you as early as I can.
Are you insured and DBS checked?
Yes. I’m fully insured, DBS checked and registered with HMRC. The van has business insurance and fitted cages, and I carry a canine first aid kit. In an emergency I contact you straight away and use your registered vet, or the nearest practice if it can’t wait.
Book a free meet-and-greet
The easiest place to start is a free meet-and-greet at your home in Pembury. You meet the person who’ll be looking after your dog, I meet your dog on their own ground, and nobody’s committed to anything. Call 07799 543484 or fill in the booking form and I’ll get back to you.
