Where the walks happen: my private secure field
Every group session takes place in my own fully enclosed private field, booked out to me Monday to Friday. Your dog isn’t walked along a road, a footpath or through a park at any point — the only walking is from your front door to the van.
From Hildenborough the field is about 15 minutes, on the far side of Tonbridge.
Inside the fence there’s no traffic, no loose dogs, no cyclists and no livestock. That matters most for rescues still settling in, dogs with unreliable recall, and dogs who tense up when something comes the other way. They can run flat out, practise recall properly and pick who they play with.
Groups stay small and I choose who goes together by temperament, not just by who’s booked. The field works the same in January as in June.
Collection and drop-off in Hildenborough
I collect from anywhere in Hildenborough and the rest of TN11, from the station end of the village through to the Tonbridge side.
Dogs travel in a secure, ventilated van with fitted cages and non-slip mats. Hildenborough runs as one pickup loop, so no dog sits in the van while I drive across the area and back.
You don’t need to be home. A key safe, a door code or a key left with me all work — keys are stored securely and marked only with your dog’s name. Your dog is back the same session, with a photo or message from me afterwards.

Do you collect from Hildenborough, and is there a charge?
Yes. Collection and drop-off anywhere in Hildenborough and TN11 are included in the session price, with no surcharge for being outside Tonbridge. Most clients use a key safe or door code so I can collect while they’re at work.
Where exactly do the walks take place?
All group sessions are at my own private, fully enclosed field on the far side of Tonbridge. Dogs are never walked on village roads, public footpaths or in parks. Groups are small and chosen by temperament rather than by who’s booked.
What happens in bad weather?
Sessions still run. The field is used year-round and dogs are dried off before they go home, so leaving a towel out helps. In extreme heat I move collection times earlier or later for the dogs’ safety. Snow or ice bad enough to make the run from Hildenborough unsafe means cancelling.
Are you insured and DBS checked?
Yes — fully insured and DBS checked, and registered with HMRC. The van is business insured, with fitted cages and non-slip mats. I carry a canine first aid kit, and in an emergency I contact you straight away and use your registered vet, or the nearest practice if it can’t wait.
Do you take puppies and older dogs?
Yes. Puppies can start with visits at home in Hildenborough and move to the field once their vaccinations are complete. Older dogs suit the field well, since they can potter at their own pace instead of being walked to a set distance. Tell me about any medication at the meet-and-greet.
